THC provides symptom/pain relief, gives the "high" feeling. There are 3 TYPES of THC: Indica (remember "indica in da couch😉), Sativa and Hybrids (which are a combination of both indica and sativa.

  • INDICA (in da couch) -is good for nighttime use, insomnia, anxiety and pain

  • SATIVA - is good for daytime use, depression, fatigue (CAUTION: sativas may induce anxiety in patients who are prone to it)

  • HYBRID - balance of indica and sativa. (Indica-dominant strains are preferred for anxiety patients.)

RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) is a high concentrate of the actual plant that is available in capsules, tinctures, distillates, edibles and topicals.

  • The distillate is taken orally and a "grain of rice" sized portion = 25-50mg! This is NOT a good starting place for cannabis naive patients.

CBD provides longterm healing and has no high. It has anti-inflammatory effects, helps with pain, anxiety, GI upset, migraines, increased bone density, prostate health, cancer and peripheral neuropathy

  • CBN (cannabinol) helps with sleep; may be used in conjunction with CBD and/or THC.

1:1 is a CBD:THC ratio in equal parts

  • both activate each other for increased pain relief

  • GREAT product!!!

It is important to recognize that because of the psychoactive components in THC, it may not be the most appropriate treatment option during the day for most people. Having said that, CBD is a GREAT alternative to THC for symptom relief (anxiety, inflammation, GI upset, nausea and pain for example) during the day. It can be taken alone or in combination with low doses of THC.

FUN FACT: CBD can subdue the high associated with THC while still allowing for its many benefits!!!

Medicinal cannabis can be administered in various forms:

  • Smoking or Vaping: Provides rapid onset of effects but may not be suitable for all patients.

  • Edibles: Cannabis-infused foods can offer longer-lasting effects but have a delayed onset.

  • Orals: Cannabis capsules or sprays also offer long-lasting effects

  • Tinctures and Oils: Liquid extracts that can be taken sublingually (under the tongue) for faster absorption.

  • Topicals: Creams, lotions, gels and patches applied directly to the skin for localized relief.

In regards to how to use FLOWER: you can smoke it, vape it or cook with it.

If you are wondering, "SHOULD I VAPE or SMOKE FLOWER", here are a couple things to consider.

Two reasons you should VAPE rather than SMOKE whole flower:

1) Smoking (burning, combusting) Cannabis produces: Ash, tar, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and carcinogens.

2) Whole flower contains many Cannabinoids and Terpenes that have wonderful beneficial effects on the human body. These substances distill off the flower at 280-340 degrees. When you VAPE flower (at 350 degrees), you receive all of them, and they work together to heal and protect your body.  However, when you SMOKE whole flower, you combust or burn the leaves at 550 degrees, and that destroys many of the Terpenes and Cannabinoids that you want (which is less efficient) .

Consider investing in a DRY HERB VAPORIZER and get the full benefits of whole flower.

They cost between $25 and $400.  You can search Google or Amazon for "Dry Herb Vaporizers"
